Weekend Link Love

Friday, January 24, 2014

True Blue: Everyone is already in love with our new cream Finezza Charger from Arte Italica, so of course we have our sight set on its charming blue brother. An intricate lace design adorns this beautiful couture ceramic serving piece so beautifully it can stand alone or look lovely under layers of china. Read more our charger here.
Screen Sirens: This was a great year for film. We already gushed about Lupita and Jennifer Lawrence (and every other star) here, but we still can't wait for the countdown to the Oscars now that the full list of nominees is out.
Toddy Time: Like we said, the Polar Vortex may be over, but it still gets pretty chilly come patio time! We're keeping this Rue recipe on hand for the rest of winter. Our guests will appreciate it.
The High-Low: We pride ourselves on mastering the high-low when it comes to curating a personalized tabletop, but it gets a little harder when we take that ideology into our personal interiors. What's the perfect way to mesh Design Within Reach and West Elm? Of course Lonny knows. This link will prove quite helpful when Spring cleaning turns into Spring redecorating.

Spring Forward | Nasher Garden Party

Wednesday, January 8, 2014

Nasher Sculpture Center from Marc Roberts on Vimeo.

With the Arctic Vortex literally putting a chill on our bright outlook, we knew it was time for a Spring throwback. The Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas (one of our favorite venues not only for parties and weddings but also to peruse on the random day off from work) shared a video highlighting their Garden Party from last year. We had the pleasure of working with amazing DFW vendors, like Mary Wright Shaw and Jackson Durham to name a few. This should get you in the mood for planning your next Spring soiree.

Celebrate | Golden Years

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Before you relax too much, be thinking about the perfect way to ring in the New Year. We love a big party as much as the next gal, but we'd really love to spend the evening with close friends over an intimate dinner with great food and conversation. New Year's calls for breaking out sequin and sparkly outfits and the most luxurious china. We're still pondering over what dress to wear, but for tabletop, the best choice is definitely Arte Italica. The gold rimmed glass dinner plates have class and luxury down with out needing much else. Adding Valencia Stemware and Dynasty 24 Karat Gold Flatware will top off the look perfectly. What will you be serving your friends for the New Year's? We're still taking last minute orders, so call us to ring the New Year's in, in style.

Tabletop Tuesday // Christmas in Cowtown

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

There's nothing like Christmas in Cowtown (that's Fort Worth those of you non-Texans). It's the perfect mix of tradition and nostalgia with the holiday hues that strike a chord around this time of year. Emily Clarke of of Emily Clarke Events designed this red and gold tabletop for a competition at the Ridglea Country Club, and we're hoping to recreate it for our own family gatherings. Branching Out created the masterful floral arrangements and Liland's provided the gold banquet.

5 Things // November Favorites

Thursday, October 24, 2013

Five things that are packing a punch this November also happen to be our Fall favorites.
1. Arte Italica Cream Charger - Refined Italian elegance for just the right amount of ornateness with a neutral color to compliment any tabletop.
2. Mahogany Rose and Mottahedeh Tree China Collections - Fall calls for deep hues, patterns that reflect the natural autumnal landscape, and of course, style that upholds family traditions. Feast the eyes while your feasting on everything from turkey to dumplings.
3. Birch Hall Flatware - Add an Art Deco element so the first thing picked up at the table holds enough weight to not easily be forgotten.
4. Stella Goblets - Make a statement with the best color duo of all time - black and white. Our newest addition to the goblet family - the Stella - is a more mature version of our Chloe with a slim, elegant stem and substantial cup for the perfect pour.
5. Crossback Chair - Inspired by the Parisian cafe chair, these crossback chairs go well with everything from farmhouse tables to family seating.
Book your today to ensure these beauties make an appearance at your next soiree.

Tabletop Tuesday // Custom Couture

Tuesday, October 22, 2013
Fit for a queen: Custom fitted White Petal Taffeta with Rose Gold Caps by Resource One, Inc., exclusively at POSH Couture Rentals. Paper goods by Ceci NY.
Custom touches always make a lasting impression. No one understands the importance of painstaking approach to detail like Roberta Karsch at Resource One, Inc. - there is a reason they are called couture linens, after all. We love the pink + gold palette used for the wedding of Tara Smith in Los Angeles: White Petal Taffeta with Rose Gold Caps created an intimate and romantic feel at king-sized tables. We have no doubt everyone felt like royalty on that wedding day. We picked a few of our favorite POSH pieces to go with the Resource One linens, all of which you can get exclusively at POSH Couture Rentals.

TARA & BLAKE’S DREAM TEAM: Invitations: Ceci New York /Venue – Ceremony: Wetherly Gardens, Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills Venue – Reception: Crystal Ballroom, Beverly Hills Hotel / Photographer: Simone & Martin Photography, John Solano Photography, Duke Photography Florist: Mark Held & Richard David, Mark’s Garden Planner: Jonathan Reeves, International Event Company / Event Design: Matias Doorn and Edgar Zamora, Revelry Event Designers Event Coordinator: Claire Rados /Lighting: Images by Lighting / Linens: Resource One
With the couture feel of the evening, we would add our new Arte Italica Cream Charger with its amazing detail and refined elegance. Add Gold Lyons Flatware for a luxurious amount of gold, along with Gold Floral Lace Champagne Flutes and Light Pink Chloe Goblets for a romantic mix to toast throughout the evening. For the desert table, both the Sophia and Loren add another ornamental element to the tabletop and evens out the metallic tones.

Couture-worthy attention to detail continues with appetizers and early course. Rethink serving fruit dishes, prawns, and amuse bouche in the typically catering forms with our Flower Server and Lily Server. Guests will never forget it.

This Just In // Arte Italica Cream Charger

Thursday, October 3, 2013

Just in time for holiday planning, our new Arte Italica Cream Charger has officially landed in Dallas. The storied Italian brand salvaged and reclaimed antique molds for these handmade ceramic chargers. The name Finezza means "reclaimed", and we couldn't be more thrilled with the painstaking work that goes into each piece. Curated by Jami and Laurel to mix with our POSH Vintage Collection and couture pieces, it is literally the only accessory you need to make a bold yet elegant statement with your tabletop. We are adding more to this collection come Spring. Stay in the loop and be the first to know when new items arrive by signing up for our newsletter.

Tabletop Tuesday: Marie Antoinette

Tuesday, April 9, 2013
All images by ANDREA POLITO PHOTOGRAPHY

Romance, intrigue, and extravagant design come to mind when we hear the name Marie Antoinette. She has influenced everything from phrases, movies, gardens, and tablescapes. Emily Clarke of Emily Clarke Weddings & Events created a luxe and lavish scene  at the Stoneleigh Hotel and Spa inspired by the Dauphine of France and her magical Tuileries Garden and even more opulent home at The Palace of Versailles. From a royal palette of rich gold and charming pinks, the table is set for the modern lady who pictures an enchanting abundance of fun and glamour on her big day, be it a wedding or bridal brunch or just an dinner with the girls. We see it as the perfect backdrop for a pampered evening with the girls. Whatever your reason to celebrate, what a way to let them eat cake. (For a full list of vendors plus details from Emily herself, click here.)

A modern day Marie Antoinette patiently awaits her visitors. Emily Clarke  picked this fabulous gown from Stanley Korshak and created a towering head piece worthy of the Dauphine of France.

More gorgeous blooms from Bridal Blooms. Rentals from POSH include a toast worth of royals with Gold Floral Lace Stemware and Silver Goblet.

Set the table with Mottahedeh White Lace Charger, Arte Italica Dinner Plate, and silk napkin. Rentals from POSH.

Gorgeous gilded serving trays, plates, and trays for easy service.  And what would a French inspired tablescape be without our Sevres Collection teacups and saucers.  All from POSH.
