Toast: Beginning of Summer

Friday, June 7, 2013
With our P.O.S.H. Petites getting out of school this week, we know summer is nearly here. Poolside parties, June weddings, long evenings on the patio, and early morning lingering brunches can be expected. After seeing the end of year awards go out, we decide to toast this weekend with our own set of winners. Herewith, a few of our favorite stems.

POSH Picks: The Festive Table

Thursday, June 6, 2013
We are endlessly inspired with Oliver M. Furth's heavy hued tablescape for this month's issue of House Beautiful. Building of Spring's bright colors and the always in style jewel tones, Furth created a temptingly delicious tablescape. We're taking this idea to heart with our personal china at home and supplementing it with pops of color hand-picked from a variety of scalloped chargers, Chloe Goblets, Vintage Carnival Glassware, and chiavari chairs. The addition of a dazzling goblet or a chiavari chair in a pronounced color like green or red will take your tabletop from boring to spirited in no time.

Furth's tabletop plays with patterns and colors. For Spring, we say channel your inner artist and break out of the classic neutral heavy stylings with our P.O.S.H. Picks below.

Clockwise from top right; Green Chloe Goblet, Green Chiavari Chair (now on Summer Special), Green Polka Dot China, Exotic Bird China (to bring out every color), Scalloped Acrylic Chargers in Fuschia, Lime, Tangerine, Turquoise, and Gold; Vintage Parisian Carnival Glassware in Light Pink, Clear, Green, and Purple.

Toasting the gorgeous couple in  style with Gold Floral Lace Goblets. Photo by Tracy Autem

To celebrate hump day and #WeddingWednesday, we'll try to showcase a few of our favorite genius planners, photographers, vendors, and their lovely brides. Today we have sweethearts celebrating in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The Southern belle action started with a variety of place settings, an outfit change, and plenty of two-steppin'. See a full list of vendors below and even more amazing pictures here.

The Stockyard Scene: Fruitwood Chiavari Charis and a variety of linens and chair covers, gorgeous floral centerpieces from Tami Winn.
The bride chose a variety of place settings for different tables. The head table got the royal treatment shown with this detail shot: Original Sevres China, Gold Leaf China, Gold Bead B&B, and classic hemstitch napkins.

The perfect place setting with a combination of rustic and glamour: Jan Barboglio Hammered Copper Charger, Sevres China, Gold Leaf China, Gold Bead B&B, Simply Ivory B&B, and monogrammed hemstitch napkins with ties.
A great example of the power of luxe layerings.

Can you tell by Monday's post that we are obsessed with green? Cool blues and crisp greens are the perfect pairing for a Spring evening. Take it from Bella Flora, the floral and event designer team that always produces centerpieces that truly captured the limelight of season with a variety of lush green florals. When the Four Seasons Resort and Club, Las Colinas shared these images, we knew they deserved their spot on Tabletop Tuesday. It's just the thing to brighten your day.

Get the look: Start with a green chiavari chair (now on Summer Special!*) for proper festive seating. Then build off the gorgeous greenery and centerpieces with Scalloped Lime Chargers, Michelangelo Flatware,  and a mixture of Green Chloe Goblets and Blue-Green Swirl Stem Glassware.
