Moodboard: Magic's in the Makeup

Friday, April 13, 2012
Just in case the last post didn't make you see the light, we thought we'd give you a bigger taste of the importance of detail.

Silver rimmed china and stemware paired with silver beaded chargers atop Champagne Hammered Velvet equals serious elegance.

Champagne Ruffle Chameleon chair backs. Love.

Double dose of class: Champagne Organza with Double Rhinestone Trim.

With its unique shape and texture, the purple metallic charger sets the foundation for the Sevres china. The Lilac Nu Silk dinner napkins and Amethyst diamond napkin ring are icing on the cake.

Every angel of this table top inspires.

The ornate silver-plated flatware is coming up roses and daisies (literally), which begs the question: Why use plastic?
Amethyst Floral Organza equals petal power.

Elements of Design: Gold Standard

It's a phrase we often hear in work, life, and especially event planning -- the design is in the details. Shaping a soiree that lingers on the lips of guests long after they've gone home for the evening can only be accomplished by paying attention to the tiniest details. A fabulous table top is a feast for the eyes, but the magic is in the makeup. Herewith, the proper elements to make a POSH table guests won't soon forget.

The weight of 24-karat gold, shown with a modern twist on classic flatware.

The first sip (and look) isn't soon forgotten with this Gold Leaf glass.

Add a spot of leopard and gold beading for a feminine feel.

Classic White Nu Silk with black edge linens and a Black and White Regency Print runner.

Crystal wine glass with the Chloe goblet: A mixture of classic and cool.

Gold sequin mesh table linen and black velvet napkins plus the clear Louis Ghost Chair, designed by Phillipe Stark. A simple yet stunning way to sit in the lap of luxury.

Moodboard: CONNECT THE DOTS

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

From the art world to the front row, polka dots are still having their moment. Don't believe us?

Let us connect the dots.

Marc Jacobs' third and newest fragrance (available in July) is fittingly named Dot. Damien Hirst's spot paintings are continuing world domination  even Victoria Beckham has one hanging in her home. Bridal veils are getting the spot treatment. The POSH Couture Rentals showroom is punctuating tabletops with the polished look of polka dots in an array of colors. Even our POSH Petite line is joining in on the fun. So, tell us how you like to show your spots?

Moodboard: Tantalize with Texture

Touch has a memory.  John Keats

Texture adds an attraction to any fabric, setting the tone of the overall visual stimulus. When we see a bridal gown like the Amsale Blue Label Dahlia or anything from Stanley Korshak in-house couture designer Nardos Imam, we are teased by the falls and folds of chiffon. We want to touch the fine layers of tulle and embellished crepe that creates a magnificent aesthetic that is not lost on the eye of the beholder.

These same arrangements of scheme and structure inspire many of the linens in our showroom. From fluttering petals to Valentino-inspired ruffled roses, we can bring the same allure of a couture gown directly to your guests with sensory aesthetics they aren't soon to forget. Customize your event for a feel all your own.
