Countdown to 2014 | Part 2

We're sharing out favorite tablescapes of 2013 to countdown the New Year, and we did save the best for last. But first, let us wish you a very safe and happy New Year's Eve, friends. The TWO x TWO Gala this year was extraordinary in terms of raising money, harnessing creativity (we're looking at you Todd Events), and expressing the power of simplicity with a subtle yet striking black and white aesthetic. Todd knocked it out of the park, proving yet again why he is one of the most in-demand planners in the industry. 

Equally outstanding was this opulent beauty by wedding planner Diann Valentine. A mix of custom linens, gorgeous chairs, and silver place settings created one of the most romantic looks of the year, noted by everyone from Dallas industry vets to Grace Ormonde.  See more from this beautiful event here.

Equally dear to our hearts is the Hollywood Regency shoot by Emily Clarke Weddings & Events. The Gatsby theme has proven strong this year, and with inspired tablescapes like this, we hope it sticks around. See the whole shoot here.

Our favorite Fort Worth gal Tami Winn also won over the hearts of thousands of girls planning their weddings with this seriously sweet spread for Brides of North Texas. It nearly makes us want to renew our vows in true Southern fashion. See more images here.

Tabletop Tuesday: PETITE Peter Rabbit

Can you say adorable? For the 2014 NACE Tabletop Competition, Mathes & Co. designed an incredible table for all those little POSH Petites out there . The classic childhood tale of our favorite mischievous bunny Peter Rabbit influenced this lush creation, complete with carrot-shaped favors and garden-inspired tabletop collections. The only thing missing are a few cute kiddos to enjoy this fun theme!

Traditional with Blue + White

There is a hint of cool weather lingering from the first cold front to grace Dallas and relieve us of triple-digit temps. It only makes our longing for Fall that much more intense. We've been loving the autumnal florals gracing the pages of our favorite magazines (especially the blue Carolina Herrera design below), and actually think that blue + white is so versatile in terms of it's traditional beloved status by tastemakers all over, that is the perfect addition to Fall tabletops. Tabletop Tuesday: Blue + White

Blue and White china calls to mind the tablescapes of the most iconic of tastemakers, from the timeless Jackie O to the more modern Tory Burch. When we see a place setting like this we think of memories being made around the table by friends and family, long weekends on the East Coast, and Southern pomp and circumstance. There is definitely no reason to be blue when looking at this gorgeous foundation.
