Tabletop Tuesday | Welcome Party

How do newlyweds welcome friends and family to their hometown of Dallas? By bringing in the best for a stunning reception of cut crystal, gorgeous florals, and whimsical accessories at the Nasher Sculpture Center, of course. Charleston event planners Easton Events designed this festive soiree with the help of Dallas favorites Jackson Durham, La Tavola Linens, POSH, Wolfgang Puck, and Beyond. We're not the only ones who loved these sweet welcome party. Martha Stewart featured all the fun here while you can see the wedding reception in the special edition wedding issue.

Jackson Durham's luscious floral arrangements flock collections of candles and birds, while our Exotic Bird Dinner Plate sits pretty for the main course (above). The Nasher reception included all the elements a tabletop needs to truly shine - Cut Crystal Chargers, Silverplate Silverbead Flatware, and Pure Stemware. All photography by Ryan Ray.

You know you're in for a treat when Diann Valentine is behind your event. The wedding and event planner extraordinaire known for as many embellished details in decor to personalized moments throughout the event is the go-to gal for everyone from Usher to Toni Braxton and HBO. To make a milestone moment memorable, Diann goes for custom touches throughout the event, from the linens and tabletop to the decor. So when T.D. Jakes wanted to celebrate his 35th anniversary, Diann showed up in style. Custom linens created by Diann draped king-size tables with metallic elements that set a new silver standard for elegant tabletops. The event caught the eye of the iconic bridal magazine Grace Ormonde and was published in the Fall 2013 issue. We were proud to be a part of the event alongside other DFW vendors, including floral designers  Bella Flora and lighting geniuses Beyond. Tabletop Tuesday: Blue + White

Blue and White china calls to mind the tablescapes of the most iconic of tastemakers, from the timeless Jackie O to the more modern Tory Burch. When we see a place setting like this we think of memories being made around the table by friends and family, long weekends on the East Coast, and Southern pomp and circumstance. There is definitely no reason to be blue when looking at this gorgeous foundation. We've had our mind on this beauty since last Fall, when Mathes and Co. designed it for the NACE Color Me a Cure Tablescape Competition. It is the perfect toast to the longer days of Spring and Summer. This fantastic celebration of classic designs (blue + white china, striped linens) calls for guests to linger long after the food has been served. We can just imagine the conversations that would fill the air.

What Wowed Us: Modern Day Grace

This wedding popped up in our weekly blog reads, and we were immediately struck by it's sophisticated elegance. Not only that, but the beautiful bride reminded us of a modern day Grace Kelly - graceful and timeless. Bella Flora provided romantic floral arrangements in creamy palettes that took our breath away. What a lovely day for the bride and groom, and although it was an October wedding, we can see these creams and gold working well throughout the year.

Tabletop Tuesday: Fort Worth Hot Cha Cha

We thought we'd change it up this week and offer an oldie but a goodie for those of you thinking ahead to fall events and weddings. The gorgeous wedding of photographer Stacy Reeves has long been a favorite of ours - you can see why! In Texas, we do like to go big or go home, and with weddings, we just like to make sure we hit it out of the ballpark. We like to call this Hot Cha Cha, after the Resource One chiavari chair treatments. You have to show off when competing with a beautiful venue like Bass Performance Hall, so Hot Cha Cha, indeed.

Moodboard: Significant Events of Texas

We love the design of this tablescape by Significant Events of Texas featured in the Spring/Summer 2012 issue of Brides of North Texas. Designer Meredith Commender created a table top out of box springs and make a look that was no less than amazing. To streamline the lush florals by Out of the Garden, Meredith chose our silver chiavari chairs, along with classic silver chargers, flatware, and silver rimmed glassware.
