Toast | Winter Weddings

Thursday, December 12, 2013
Statistics show December is the most popular month to get engaged--perhaps it's the spirit of giving and unconditional love. Whatever the reason, we love the idea of getting engaged during the holiday season. Seriously, is there a better gift? Here are a few looks of our favorite winter weddings to get all the love birds inspired for winter weddings.

Luxurious centerpieces created the idea of a winter wonderland against dark table linens while ghost chairs and black chiavari chairs provided elegant seating for this draped in white ballroom at the Four Seasons Las Colinas. This is one of our favorites for its balance of dark and light for a seasonal feel.

Mary Elizabeth and Sean had everything from a butterfly release after the ceremony to a  seasonal reception at the historic Belo Mansion. Andrea Polito Photography captured every gorgeous moment (see them all here), including the bride and groom cutting the cake with our Exotic Bird China Collection.

You can't forget the seating. Our natural fruitwood chiavari's hold court with the light hues associated with winter. We love the way they look in Dean Fearing's Restaurant for a beautiful reception designed by Jackson Durham Floral & Event Design. The comfort of these oversized chairs provide comfort and class as only a chiavari can.

Who can beat the classic hues of silver and white for a wintry wedding? We love the non-traditional setup of the tables along with the simple tablescapes. Our custom pewter chiavari hairs and silver satin linens make this classic style hard to beat, especially paired with the gorgeous Hilton Anatole and florals from The Garden Gate.

So, how do you feel about winter weddings? We'd love to hear from you.

WW: Fort Worth Zoo

Tabletop: Silver Goblet, Parisian Gold Flatware, Pewter Chiavari Chairs, Classico Stemware, Khaki Mandarin Nu Silk | Floral, Branching Out

This dose of #WeddingWednesday is a throwback to Spring featuring all of our favorite things: The Fort Worth Zoo, artistic photography, a range of tablescapes and linens, cocktail hours and seated dinners, a beautiful bride and groom, and the creative genius of Emily Clarke and Debby Jewesson of Branching Out. This gorgeous event took guests on a wild ride in the best way - animal shows, magicians, great bands, etc. One glimpse at these photos and we're sure you'll agree. See even more images on Style Me Pretty.

Guests were greeted with a sign in table covered with beautiful floral arrangements by Branching Out and animal inspired trinkets, like the elephant planter. We love how Emily covered the first thing guests would see with a gorgeous Blush Ribbon Organza from Resource One, exclusively at P.O.S.H.

P.O.S.H. Villa Ballroom Chairs are the perfect way to add sophistication to the tented ceremony, along with dramatic draping from Dallas Draping and Lighting.

After the ceremony, guests were ushered to the back of the tent so the front room could be transformed into a dance floor and seated dinner setting. Guests enjoyed cocktails with custom bars from Fauxcades and Liland's Special Events and cocktail tables and chiavari barstools from P.O.S.H.

Elegant draping for the bride's entrance.

Seating cards matched the zoo theme with painted animal figurines attached to name cards.

Head Table: Mottahedeh White Lace Charger, Gold Parisian Flatware, Silver Rimmed Water Goblet, Silver Wine Goblet, Pure Stemware

Villa Chairs were moved to guests tables along with oversized seating from Liland's for a modern table arrangement.

The head table received special treatment with Amber Kartell Ghost Chairs from Resource One, exclusively at P.O.S.H.

Gorgeous lighting from Beyond.

Tabletop Tuesday: Marie Antoinette

Tuesday, April 9, 2013
All images by ANDREA POLITO PHOTOGRAPHY

Romance, intrigue, and extravagant design come to mind when we hear the name Marie Antoinette. She has influenced everything from phrases, movies, gardens, and tablescapes. Emily Clarke of Emily Clarke Weddings & Events created a luxe and lavish scene  at the Stoneleigh Hotel and Spa inspired by the Dauphine of France and her magical Tuileries Garden and even more opulent home at The Palace of Versailles. From a royal palette of rich gold and charming pinks, the table is set for the modern lady who pictures an enchanting abundance of fun and glamour on her big day, be it a wedding or bridal brunch or just an dinner with the girls. We see it as the perfect backdrop for a pampered evening with the girls. Whatever your reason to celebrate, what a way to let them eat cake. (For a full list of vendors plus details from Emily herself, click here.)

A modern day Marie Antoinette patiently awaits her visitors. Emily Clarke  picked this fabulous gown from Stanley Korshak and created a towering head piece worthy of the Dauphine of France.

More gorgeous blooms from Bridal Blooms. Rentals from POSH include a toast worth of royals with Gold Floral Lace Stemware and Silver Goblet.

Set the table with Mottahedeh White Lace Charger, Arte Italica Dinner Plate, and silk napkin. Rentals from POSH.

Gorgeous gilded serving trays, plates, and trays for easy service.  And what would a French inspired tablescape be without our Sevres Collection teacups and saucers.  All from POSH.

A whimsical champagne tower with Pure Champagne Saucers from POSH.

I mean, how fabulous is this shot?

We can't get enough Marie Antoinette!
