Playlist: The Endless Summer

While we're gearing up for fall, these triple-digit days remind us that summer isn't quite over. However, our excitement over cooler temperatures hasn't stopped us from stopping to smell the roses. We hope you too are enjoying this time with friends and family, albeit in an air-conditioned space or near water. To toast this last full month of summer, we're giving you a sneak peek into a cocktail tablescape from our fall newsletter, plus a few tunes to carry you through the weekend. 

Met Ball: The Red Hot Chloe

With Fashion's Night Out just around the corner, we've been dreaming of fashion forward tablescapes. There isn't a better excuse than haute couture to play with exotic prints and bold combinations of color.

The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art thought the same thing while planning the Met Ball, otherwise known as the East Coast Oscars. After all, when you decide to throw a dinner party for fashion's finest, you have to pull out all the stops. So we weren't surprised to see a familiar addition to their fabulous crimson place setting, the Chloe goblet! Elegant aesthetics paired with bright colors make the Chloe timeless rather than trendy. We especially love the red while going into Fall. What is your favorite color of Chloe?

Toast: Chef Joe Goetze

Today's Toast goes out to one of our top chefs, Joe Goetze. As Corporate Chef VSAG, a National Restaurant Advisory Group, and Corporate Chef for Founding Farmers Restaurant Group Joe develops their recipes, leads the culinary team, researches ingredient sourcing and develops the produce and purveyor partnerships. No easy feat! Joe has worked all over the country, but if you're from Dallas you may know him from his time spent at various great restaurants, from his humble beginnings with many of his great chef friends at The Landmark to culinary operations at eatZi's Market & Bakery. His decades of experience and hard work has paid off at Founding Farmers, which just earned the Washington D.C. restaurant Power Spot 2012 RAMMY.* The RAMMY describes it as "a top choice member restaurant, a spot to 'see and be seen' with the movers and shakers on the national and local political and business scene. It best exemplifies 'how Metropolitan Washington works.'" Joe believes in running a green and sustainable operation that brings quality natural ingredients straight from the farm to the tabletop. A man after our own hearts! In fact, we love him so much one of POSH's own has been married to him for 18 years. Bet you can guess who!

If you were going to design an ideal client that was classic, cool, and most importantly, a ton of fun, who would think of? Well, if you're Todd Events, you think Aubrey Hepburn. Weddings Roundup: Southern Belles

We love seeing the belle of the ball embrace her Southern roots. DFW Events designed the themes for today's weddings, stylishly moving from the country club to an outdoor scenic setting. 

First up, high school sweethearts Sarah Howard and Lev Prichard. This beautiful wedding at the Highland Park Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at Royal Oaks Country Club looked classy with charming, personalized touches throughout. Meredith's family owns and operates G bar C Ranch, so it was the perfect backdrop for her own wedding reception. This rustic setting proves country can be cool and classy. Brunch: Brides of North Texas

We haven't met a bridal magazine we didn't like. From tips to trends, they are a source of inspiration for weddings and beyond. One of our favorites is Brides of North Texas. When you meet the women behind the brand, you immediately sense their love of all things weddings and what real ladies want for their special day. We had the opportunity to work with Brides of North Texas on their Bridal Brunch, which launched their incredible Fall 2012 issue. They worked with Meg Hayes and Julie Smith to pick out tabletop goodies from our showroom, including the Sevres Collection and Gold Scroll Glassware. We'll be sharing more from the magazine on our Pinterest, but be sure to go grab your own copy for your own future inspiration!

SPOTTED: Tony Romo and Candice Crawford

We love a great love story, especially when it involves local Dallas sweethearts. What was perhaps one of the biggest weddings in recent Dallas history (who can forget those hoovering helicopters and all of Turtle Creek shut down?), one of our favorite Cowboys Tony Romo wed Candice Crawford  on May 28, 2011. To wish them a Happy Anniversary, Modern Luxury printed an unforgettable picture captured by Stephen Karlisch of the newly wed Mrs. Romo high-fiving guests while her doting husband looked on. Event planner Todd Fiscus helped the couple pick a traditional yet customized tabletop, complete with POSH's hand-cut crystal chargers and Chloe Goblets. Of course, no classic wedding would be complete without the Jackie O approved chiavari chair.
