Tabletop Tuesday: Southern Living Christmas

The season is merry and bright (even if that means spring-like weather in Texas). We love perusing our favorite magazines for tablescapes, and we were thrilled to see P.O.S.H. in a recent holiday spread. Editor-at-Large Kimberly Schlegel Whitman designed a holiday tabletop with our red chiavari chairs for the pages of one of our favorites, Southern Living. Tabletop Tuesday: The Fall Feast

During the holidays, the biggest gatherings revolve around the table. So you can't just have any old linen taking center stage for such important events. One of our favorite fall/winter linens is the Resource One Umber Taffeta with Chocolate Applique. Its rich design and texture sets the perfect tone for a fall feast. Tabletop Tuesday: Autumn Inspired

Could this look be any more Autumn-inspired? The floral Copper Embossed Chiffon overlay is reminiscent of Fall leaves cascading over the Cocoa Bark Linen. We love Resource One for the seasonal texture and elements they evoke from their tabletops. Wouldn't this be perfect for a harvest feast come Thanksgiving? We agree.

Tabletop Tuesday: Great Gatsby

We were so excited to be a part of this Style Me Pretty shoot at The Hickory Street Annex in downtown Dallas, partly because of the amazing vendors and creative minds designing the shoot, and partly because the style was something we have been loving for a while now - The Great Gatsby! Brittany Nicole Photography came up the concept because of her own love for the 1920s, and we loved the twist on a traditional wedding reception. This theme would be great for a gala or even a costume party. See more images of the event and read about Brittany's idea behind the shoot here. 

1. An art-deco invitation is a must for any Gatsby style event. Love this one by U Lucky Girl. / What would a bride be without her bouquet or wedding bands? Floral Design by Ashlilium and jewelry by Crown Jewelers.

Tabletop Tuesday: For Keeps

One of our favorite couples just celebrated an anniversary, and we wanted to celebrate by reliving their fantastic wedding tablescapes. While they got married in 2008, their fresh and fun spring wedding looks right out of a page from 2012. Congratulations, Brana and Adam Rope. We wish you a Happy Anniversary and lifetime of happiness.

Rattan chargers and natural chiavari chairs are perfect for this outdoor reception.

Brana and Adam kept it simple and sweet. Natural elements were complimented with pops of hot pink and gorgeous centerpieces.

No, this isn't table top, but we had to throw in the white oak folding chair. Proof that classic folding chairs look great, especially outdoors.

The Dallas Opera offers OnStage, a brilliantly conceived dinner and dramatic event featuring an exclusive dinner literally onstage at the Winspear Opera House complete with private performances from opera stars. Their tag line is "to dine as a Prima Donna should," so it's no wonder they picked our glamorous black chiavari chairs. Learn more here.

Tabletop Tuesday: POSH Petite

As you can see from the previous post, we had the chance to contribute to the Salvation Army's Fashion Show Auxiliary Luncheon yesterday. Here is a peek at the POSH Petite line dreamed up by Jami Goetze and Laurel Howell - perfect for a birthday party or children's area at your next event or wedding.

Our ladies love Serendipity, the New York City cafe known for it's over-the-top Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and sweets and treats. We extended the theme to our girls table with a serendipitous birthday party, complete with pink polka dot plates, hot pink scalloped chargers, pink carnival glasses, and black and white striped linens.  The buffet held an adorable ferris wheel cupcake holder with a variety of pedestals, platters, and milk glass for treats from Society Bakery.

Surprises come in small packages: These miniature pink chiavari chairs pack a punch. What little girl wouldn't want this for a birthday party? This is also perfect for a flower girl table at your wedding.

The girls aren't the only ones having fun. We went with a nautical theme for the boys. Orange cups and footed bowls, rattan charges, and navy linens were a hit for little sailors.
