The power of simplicity perfectly captured for a Meadows Museum Donor Dinner.

 Sometimes all you really need for a stunning tabletop are a few simple silver patterns and exquisite crystal or glass. The power of simplicity is  perfectly captured at a donor dinner for SMU's Meadow Museum with a concept created by Marin Fiske-Rankin, Meadows Events and Food Service Manager. Marin wanted an impressive display without making it too formal, so she scaled back from a full tabletop to hand-picked pieces that would stand out when handled by the guest yet blended effortlessly with a vibrant linen from La Tavola and the landscape of the room. As always, we think Marin captured the essence of the evening beautifully. This look could easily translate to an elegant holiday tabletop or winter place setting. Gorgeous arrangements by Bella Flora take centerstage from an otherwise neutral palette of champagne and light pink. Ghost chairs add a modern touch to the elegant affair, taking the tables from pretty to chic. Tabletop Tuesday: Grace Kelly

Kimberly Sutton of Dream Events created such a glamorous table for D Weddings Fall 2012 issue. Be warned; you may feel the need to drape yourself in fur and jewels after viewing. Sutton designed the table for her ideal client - the one and only Grace Kelly. This is definitely a tablescape designed for a princess. What we like best is the throwback to Hollywood glamour with the simple yet elegant pieces. Tell us, where and with whom would you use such a setting?

AK Events was asked by D Weddings to design a tabletop for the ideal client. When you think timeless weddings, Jackie O isn't far from your mind. With her impeccable poise and grace, she was the epitome of understated glamour and beauty. We think she would be just as impressed with this tablescape, too.
